The Future
Before I said the show would be coming back in February. Well, I’m a liar. The hiatus is going to be a little bit longer. I am not anticipating posting any new interviews until at least June.
Please share the videos with your friends in the meantime. All these filmmakers are awesome and deserve your attention.
And just in case you think I’m not working on the show at all: I interviewed Emilie McDonald just yesterday. I have plans for other filmmakers. If you’re a New York-based filmmaker and you want to be on the show, there is no shame in self-promotion and making my job easier by just emailing me and saying you want to be on the show. Multiple filmmakers have. They’re the cool kids. You want to be a cool kid, don’t you?
New episodes will be coming in just a few months. Thanks for following.
Katie Carman-Lehach’s feature Off Season will be screening at NewFilmmakers New York next Tuesday, January 8nd, at 9:30pm. Above is the trailer.
The screening is at Anthology Film Archives (32 Second Avenue Manhattan). There will be a pre-screening reception in the lobby at 8:30PM.
Above is the trailer for the film.

Christina Raia is having a fundraiser January 16th to raise additional funds for her first feature: Summit.
The event is taking place at the Katra Lounge at 217 Bowery in NYC. The above poster image gives the details but here’s a couple of bullet points to help you decide to go:
- Watch 3 of Christina’s Shorts and that promotional trailer for Summit on a big screen.
- 2 for 1 drinks!
- A raffle!
- Digital download of Summit once it’s complete in 2014.
- Supporting a filmmaker busting her ass to make her first feature.
- Supporting independent film.
- Attending would make you super awesome.
- 2 for 1 drinks.
But I am nowhere near New York City, you say. Well, then how about just donating directly through their website here.
